I am more serious about painting than any of my other artistic
activities with the majority of my
work focusing on studies of the human face. I will paint on a variety of
surfaces. However, I particularly like hardboard. Most of the images are shaped or cut
from the hardboard and then painted with
acrylic latex from cans that can be purchased at any hardware
store. Some works will also include the use of
plexiglas, some will use found objects, while others
still employ some
construction. Occasionally I will choose another
medium to work in, such as pastels, wood stains, or whatever,
depending on the piece the desired effect. All are coated with a clear acrylic for protection and
preservation. |
